#04 Leeum + Symphony

Among the journeys Jiwon & Jay took us on, the Leeum Museum was a particular treat. It should be noted (before Jay corrects me) that the events aren’t exactly in perfect order in this blog, as they were when we were in Korea.

Partly because we visited so MANY places in just one single day with them, partly because I wan’t to spread some of the recounting out a bit. Anyway press play..

The main exhibit we had come to see (other than the spectacle that Is the museum itself) was a series of ancient green glazed pots, bowls and such. they were incredible and glowing. then there was a large stairwell in the center of the museum leading to the exhibition rooms, that is where I recorded the space as you hear it above.

The stairwell…

My equipment perched at the edge of one of the many windows providing a look out and over the edge.

After leaving the Leeum we met up with of our new found friends from instagram @shlim204 but that I’m saving for a different post 🙂

The evening before Jay had gotten us all tickets to see the Symphony at Lotte Hall press play now..

Three years ago that week, the last time I was in Korea, Jay took me for my birthday to see Kavakos play in this same hall and we had sat just behind the orchestra, an experience I’d never had. So we came back to the very same hall, this time with Jiwon & Rūta to see the symphony play Brahms and some Wagner. it was very special, Jiwon and Rūta cried. Thank you Jay

And here are some photos from my visit 3 years ago
