#02 Nosoon + Bus

Day 2 in Seoul, Jay leads us to bus stop and our epic journey begins. I cannot fully describe to you the experience of having Jay as your Tour Guide, it is too intense and incredible an experience. All jokes aside, he really is an amazing tour guide, we were very very lucky. press play on the audio bellow and come with us on the bus.

You’ll hear almost immediately the automated voice telling us the next stop in Korean, followed by English. Jay interrupts the announcement to let us know that my mother ‘Mrs. Edwards’ has begun to watch his stories, my only question is WHY WEREN’T YOU WATCHING THEM BEFORE MOM??? Jays stories are the best. Near the end of the recording you’ll hear the doors open as we arrive at the Pac Nosoon Museum.

I have no clue how Jay chose this as our first stop, there is SO MUCH in Seoul to experience, yet somehow he believes this is the perfect place to begin… and annoyingly he is completely right..

We found ourselves in a large house-turned-museum. The house the house had belonged to the artist Pac Nosoon an incredible painter and illustrator and had been maintained as a museum for his work. Needless to say, Rūta the incredible illustrator she is, and student of all art, was overjoyed. Press Play

In this recording you’ll hear us quietly walk the grounds, commenting on the rocks and other structures plotting the garden. You can hear Rūta’s shutter near by, then off in the distance as Jay and I turn the corner, then Jay whispers “fish” and points at a small pool of water in which 3 or 4 Koi have made a home. It’s a curious pool as it’s not quite big enough for a full sized adult to occupy it’s shallow depth, and yet, it seems perfectly fit for these few ‘fish’.

Thank you for your very very good choice of a first destination Jay. We found a little peace there before plunging into flowing hum of Seoul.
